Fee Schedule

Under DC Municipal Regulations (12A DCMR Section 114.3.2), the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs assesses fees for various reviews by the Historic Preservation Office. Fees are assigned and collected by the Permit Processing Office when applications are filed. If the same project is submitted for both conceptual design and permit review, the fee paid for conceptual review is credited against the fee for permit review. The fee schedule is as follows:

Conceptual Design Review and Permit Application Fees

Single-Family Residential
New construction, each dwelling $100
Additions (including rooms or decks) $100
Alterations $25
All Other Development
Less than 10,000 sq.ft. $100
10,000 to 100,000 sq.ft. $300
Above 100,000 sq.ft. $1,000
Miscellaneous Application Fees
National Capital Planning Commission (Pennsylvania Avenue Development Area) $25
Commission of Fine Arts (including Old Georgetown Board) $25
